Traditional Greater FRIESLAND covers the area of Friesland, north west Russia and down to the Crimea through traditional Bielorussian Lithuanian Polish and Ukrainian Commonwealth, south Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Flemish Belgium, Alsace Lorraine, Switzerland, Denmark, Friesian province of Germany and Saxony down to the mouth of the Rhine, England which is the ancestral home of the English whose DNA is 100% Friesian and whose name comes from the Friesian King Engist (Engistland, Engist's kinsmen/English) and the Frankish Lands ;

the Friesian diaspora comprises the Anglo Saxons and other Friesians dispersed around the globe (mainly USA, Australasia, Canada, South Africa, Iceland etc...).

ancient settlements also comprise "instant civilisations" like Sumer, Crete, Troy, Ancient Greece, Indus river, Ancient Rome, Scythia, Persia, Koweit, Korea, the Pashtun etc...

the traditional Royal family of the Friesians are represented since the 4th century by the Folkwalding (descendants of Richold OFFO, King Folkwalda of the Friesians) and junior branches such as the Gedyminovitch, Rurikids, Capet, and associated families like the Georgian Princes; the Folkwalding are also partly known as Wegeborenen using a variety of middle names;
